film noir: process & experiment

This photo is taken when the seagull was scared and it flew straight towards the camera. By adding black & white effect and enhancing this photo increased the style of film noir. Also included vignette to intensify the mysterious atmosphere.
This photo is taken in the garden on a wooden chair when the sun light was shone through the gaps between the lines and onto the objects.

The constrast in this photo was strengthened and the brightness was darkened to cover the chair so the photo will look more 'film noirish'.
This is a group photo taken by Natassia, Emma and I.

The lighting in this photo is very so I decided to darken the photo. Then I cropped the photo to emphasise and change the subject of this photo which is the person at the back.
Also black & white effect is added to show suspense.
The sun shone through the gaps in between the chair to create the line shadows which they look like shadows from window blinds. Also I used the rule of third while editing by cropping some right side of the image.
This photo was darkened and enhanced to create the gloom and moodiness. However after adding the black & white effect, the photo didn't look as good as I thought so I tried the history brush on photoshop to draw out the blood.
